Godzilla x Kong: The New Empirecould be getting a follow-up, judging by the latest update.
At the time of writing, the MonsterVerse movie has crossed the $361 million mark.
“This is certainly an exciting result,” Legendary executive Mary Parent toldThe Hollywood Reporter.
“These are early days, but we are certainly feeling good.”
Of course, the last time Godzilla and Kong crossed paths, they weren’t the best of friends.
This time, though, they have to put their differences aside to emerge victorious.
But Kong has been so closely associated with humans throughout all the movies, really.
So, I like the idea of evolving him in conjunction with the humans' technology.
